Botanist Home Quarter from Night Owl Quilting

Shalane made this beautiful warm quilt using the Botanist collection by Katarina Roccella for Art Gallery Fabrics.  The border fabric is from the Seasons of Tribute, Roots of Nature collection.
The pattern is a favorite from Highway 10 Designs - Home Quarter.

Shalane chose the Windswept pantograph for a lovely finish that doesn't' compete with any of the beautiful prints.

My Canada Home Quarter from Night Owl Quilting

Caron made this fantastic quilt using the My Canada collection from Northcott.  The pattern is Home Quarter from Highway 10 Designs and is a relaxing make using Fat Quarters.

Caron selected the Maple Syrup pantograph to continue the theme.  You can't see much of it on the front with the wide variety of prints, but it sure looks great on the grey Fireside backing.

Shalane's Home Quarter from Night Owl Quilting

I had the pleasure of quilting this pretty quilt for Shalane.  The pattern is Home Quarter by Highway 10 Designs.  It is a low stress pattern that uses fat quarter cuts of fabric.

Shalane used the Open Road collection from Bonnie Christine for Art Gallery Fabrics.

Shalane selected the pretty "Knit 1 Purl 2" pantograph and looks pretty with a sage green thread and Quilter's Dream Blend batting.

If you have a Fat Quarter bundle waiting for a project you can purchase a PDF or Paper copy of the Home Quarter pattern of the Highway 10 Designs website.

Shylyte's Home Quarter from Night Owl Quilting

Shylyte has been collecting bright polka dot fabrics for a little white now.  When she learned the first of  her friends was going to be a grandma she knew it was the perfect chance to use them in a project.  Shylyte used 12 Fat Quarters to make the version of the Highway 10 Designs Home Quarter pattern.

Shylyte selected a new pantograph in my collection called Cool Beans.  I love how it looks against all of the polka dots.  And who doesn't love a Fireside backing to show off the quilting and cuddle with?

Smoke and Rust Home Quarter from Night Owl Quilting

Phyl made the beautiful verstion of the Home Quarter pattern by Highway 10 Designs.  The fabric collection she used is from Lella Boutique for Moda called Smoke and Rust.

Phyl selected the Arrowful pantograph and a lovely shiny copper colored thread for the quilting.  I love the movement that the pantograph has.

This quilt could live quite happily with my oak bedroom furniture!

True North Home Quarter Quilt from Tamarack Shack

I am sharing one of my own quilts today.   Last spring I purchased a Kate and Birdie 'True North' fat quarter bundle from Fabriculous and I knew I wanted to make our Highway 10 Designs 'Home Quarter' quilt with it!  I was able to start this one in September at our weekly quilting group that meets in town and I finished stitching the binding on two weeks ago.

We had our first snowfall this week so it was a perfect opportunity to get some pictures against my favorite snowy backdrop.   I quilted this one with the Ombre pantograph, used beige ...

Cindy selected the Ebb & Flow pantograph, and Quilter's Dream Puff batting that combines so nicely with her gorgeous navy fireside backing.

Val's Stash Busting Home Quarter from Night Owl Quilting

Val made this cheerful queen sized version of our Highway 10 Designs Home Quarter pattern entirely from her stash.  As Home Quarter calls for Fat Quarters, Val cut some fat quarters from larger yardage, and used existing fat quarters and other scraps to build this beautiful quilt.

Val requested the Bora Bora pantograph and I think it looks great. A goldish brown thread was my choice to subtly live on the wide variety of colors and the border.

If you have some fat quarters and yardage in your stash just waiting for the perfect project, you could follow Val's ...

Sherry's Embelished Home Quarter from Night Owl Quilting

Sherry used the Highway 10 Designs Home Quarter pattern for the basis of this quilt and took it up a notch by adding an applique panel.  My last two posts also contained Home Quarter quilts, and it still amazes me how much fabric choices change the look of a pattern.

Sherry sent a note along with the quilt suggesting an all over stipple for the quilting design and an outline around the applique.  I know Sherry quite well and I know that she prefers threads that blend, so I suggested treating the border and panel differently than the body of ...

True North Home Quarter from Night Owl Quilting

Kristine made this lovely version of Home Quarter by Highway 10 Designs.  The fabric colleciton is called True North by Kate and Birdie for Moda.  I am looking forward to True North 2 that will be coming to quilt stores later this fall.

Kristine selected the Maple Syrup panto (Perfect right?) and red thread.  Choosing red is always a bit scary as it can sometimes be stronger than you want, but it just enhanced the top. She used a lovely grey flannel on the back and I used a grey thread in the bobbin to match.

Home Quarter is a ...

My Home Quarter from Night Owl Quilting

This is going to be a bit of a unique post.  I made this Home Quarter quilt top, but I did not do the longarm quilting!  I made this top at a Highway 10 Designs retreat earlier this year (remember quilting retreats?) that Kathy and I hosted at Keystone Modern Creative.  The fabric was a bundle of fat quarters in the Libbs Elliot Tattooed North line.  I didn't have a plan for the quilt so it went onto my "to be quilted" stack.

This spring I participated in a quilt-a-long and won a super generous prize of a $200 ...

Amy's Home Quarter from Night Owl Quilting

This fabulous lap quilt was made by Amy.  The pattern is Home Quarter by Highway 10 Designs.  I tell you it never gets old quilting a top made from a pattern I was a part of writing!

Amy said the fabric was a pretty Fat Quarter bundle she picked up at Fabriculous, that had been sitting on a shelf tied with a pretty ribbon awhile.  She added a pretty purple linen for the outer border.  Amy was hoping I would have a backing that would work, and my last piece of this beige and caramel Stonehenge was the perfect size ...

Reneta's Home Quarter Lap Quilt from Night Owl Quilting

This is the second Home Quarter quilt that Reneta has completed since Highway 10 Designs released the pattern in October.  She is looking in her stash for more fat quarters to cut up as it goes together fast and is fun to make.

Reneta made the large lap size that uses 16 fat quarters and finishes at 71" x 71".   She pulled a bundle from her stash and added a few bonus pieces.

We used the Gingersnap pantograph and Quilter's Dream blend batting.

This Highway 10 Designs pattern is available in PDF download or paper format on our website ...

Reneta's Home Quarter Queen Size Quilt from Night Owl Quilting

Reneta made this spectacular Highway 10 Designs Home Quarter Quilt.  She had a fabulous bundle of Moda's Grand Canal by Kate Spain languishing on a shelf and decided to put it to very good use.

Reneta used 36 fat quarters to make this generously sized Queen that measures 101" x  101"

We decided on the Tickle pantograph in a shiny turquoise Magnifico thread.

I'm glad I was able to get some good photos of this quilt, but it wasn't easy!  Most of my day was spent battling the prairie wind.

The Home Quarter pattern is available in ...
